Artist Statement

Fei Zheng was born in HangZhou, China

Now studying in MA Fine Art at Chelsea collage of arts, UK

Live in HangZhou, China

Fei was born in 1999 in Zhejiang, China and is currently studying at MA Fine arts in Chelsea collage of arts, now residency in Hangzhou.

Her work revolves around the confrontation between nihilism and existentialism, the artist is constantly exploring her own perceptions of the world and society, through a process of constant reflection and repetitive questioning, Fei believes that her work is often a way of communicating her lack of understanding and questioning.

Fei likes to use natural materials, such as fruits and food, because she believes that the essence of the universe lies in daily life, so her works are usually secondary creations of food. She sees that food is the lowest logic of human existence.
